Your best bet is likely to be to join some groups and attend
some munches in Albany, Binghamton, Hudson Valley, and elsewhere
in Up State New York.

you will know that the best way to find your dream is to get out
and meet people. I mention "munches" there. A munch is a social
get together, a gathering of like minded folk, not a kinky play
party. Not everywhere has a local munch group. But if you drive
to your nearest group you may find other folk like you have
attended from your home town. You'll make friends and
connections, and if all goes to plan then soon you'll move from
meeting kinky people to meeting the right person.
I explain in the post above how to write a longer ad, that will
be more likely to get helpful replies, but it's no substitute
for meeting people.
I also explain in the post linked above how to put some effort
in yourself and use a search engine (or DOMestic) to find
munches in your area. I put that effort in today for you, and
after a couple of hours I managed to put together some links
which you may find useful. (links will only display below on the
blog)
First I found Phoenicia NY on Google Maps and then zoomed out to
look for larger places near you. then I searched for "bdsm
munch" with the name of each of the major places....
AlbanyKink has a calendar of events, both local and regional.
Albany Power Exchange has a similar page of events. That page
has links to munches, and from there you can also get to
calendars for the coming months.
The Binghamton Society of Kink has a Yahoo group.
Hudson Valley Ds (HVDs) has a web site, and Hudson Valley D/s
Community has a Yahoo Group.
Up State New York Kink has a web site and there you will find
two small buttons which link to munches and events with a link
to the UpStateNewYorkBDSM Yahoo Group.
Domina at FrugalDomme has a page for New York State Groups.
For other folk, not up to spending time on searching yourself,
the Frugal Domme Website has links to munches and groups all
over the USA and elsewhere in the world.
